2-track EP Rabbi/Athoubu Fih is the first collaboration between singer/songwriter & dancer Khansa, and music composer and producer Etyen. Initially conceived and performed by the pair as part of unique multidisciplinary dance and music performances over the last two years. With engaging and empowering themes relating to gender, identity & religion, Khansa’s lyrical and vocal artistry find a world of their own within Etyen’s meticulously sculpted sonic universe in 2 disparately opposing pieces. The EP opens to a resounding vocal performance in Rabbi; an ominous prayer that erupts into a tantric dance of devotion, followed by Athoubu Fih, where a realm of warm and enthralling atmospheres carry a feather-like chant till the very end. Both tracks deliver a powerful exhibition of interdisciplinary artistic expression and collaboration at its finest.
